EDIT:that black milk track sounds waaaaaaaaaaaay to dilla’ish for my taste is he paying homage or is it “detroit” style or is it bitting?, from what i’ve heard someone at stones throw feels like its the latter…

ahh yes, finally i got a track off the new percee P remix project produced in whole by madlib on stones throw records.the song above no time for jokes feat. chali2na (of J5 fame) is off  percee’s new remix album (JAN 29: PERCEE P - PERSEVERANCE REMIXES) & single .if you cant wait till the 29th & if your lucky you may catch percee hustling on melrose ave right under fatbeats LA. (shots to HAPS) thats where i met percee for the first time a few months back.

Stones Throw’s first DVD, Stones Throw 101 served as a primer course for those unfamiliar with the label’s video releases, and included one of indie hip-hop’s greatest visual moments, the animated Madvillain “All Caps” video. Directors of Stones Throw 101 videos have gone on to great heights, working for the likes of Nas, Young Buck, Ludacris and alongside visionaries like Michel Gondry. (more…)
